Alternate Angles

Pronunciation: /ˈɔl.tər.nɪt ˈæŋ.gəlz/ Explain

Alternate angles are angles that are on different sides of a transversal. A transversal is a line that intersects two other lines. Alternate interior angles are between the two lines (see figure 1). Alternate exterior angles are outside the two lines (see figure 2).
