Note that point C and line f always show in the plane. They are coplanar with plane a. Line g and point F do not always show in the plane. They are not coplanar with plane a.

Mathematical objects such as points and lines are coplanar if the lie in the same plane.[2] In manipulative 1, lines A and B are coplanar with each other and with point C. Point D and line E are not coplanar with A, B, and C. Objects that are not in the same plane are called non-coplanar.
