Frequency is the number of cycles that occur
each time period. Frequency is often usually measured in hertz
(hz). 1
hz
is one cycle per second. Frequency is often used to measure waves. When measuring waves,
frequency is the number of waves that pass each second.
Examples of Frequency
Sound | Middle 'C' is 440 hz. |
Electricity | In North America, and northern South America,
electric power is transmitted at 60hz.
In most other areas, electric power is transmitted at
50hz. |
