x-intercept

Pronunciation: /ˈɛks ˈɪn.tərˌsɛpt/ Explain

An x-intercept is a point at which a graph crosses the x-axis. Any point on the x-axis has a y value of 0. The x-intercept is sometimes called the horizontal intercept.
