whose secant
is the given value. The arcsecant is a
trigonometric function.
The arcsecant is the
functional inverse
of the
secant function.
If secant(θ) = hypotenuse/adjacent
then sec-1(hypotenuse/adjacent) = θ;
Arcsecant is written arcsec or
sec-1.
Definition: y = sec-1 x
if and only if x = sec y.
